No contact day 60: sixty days
Two months out, the relationship is genuinely in the past tense. What's left isn't acute pain but occupancy — the space in the week they used to fill, the reflex to tell them things.
What goes wrong on day 60
Long-quiet backsliding: a small, low-grade channel reopens — one check, one saved thread reread — and keeps the wound open at exactly the rate it would otherwise close.
None of that is a prediction about you specifically. Day 60 looks different depending on how long you were together, who ended it, and how many times you've tried before — this is the shape it takes most often, and the part of it worth preparing for.
One thing to do today
Audit for the low-grade channel. If there's one small thing you still do that involves them, that's the thing maintaining the occupancy, and it's usually invisible until you look for it.
A slip costs a day. The spiral after it — "I've ruined it, why bother" — is what costs the month. If today didn't go the way this page describes, that's information about which door is still open, not a verdict on whether you can do this.
