No contact day 90: ninety days
Three months is where most people can tell the difference between missing a person and missing a shape. The shape is easier to fill; the person, if they're still the reference point, is a different question.
What goes wrong on day 90
Assuming that because the timeline finished, the work did. Time stops being the mechanism well before ninety days — what moves it now is what has replaced them.
None of that is a prediction about you specifically. Day 90 looks different depending on how long you were together, who ended it, and how many times you've tried before — this is the shape it takes most often, and the part of it worth preparing for.
One thing to do today
Take stock of the slots, not the feelings: who you tell good news to, what Sunday is, who your plans assume. Every one that's still empty is still pointing backwards.
A slip costs a day. The spiral after it — "I've ruined it, why bother" — is what costs the month. If today didn't go the way this page describes, that's information about which door is still open, not a verdict on whether you can do this.
