No contact day 30: thirty days
Thirty days is the number the internet gave you, and reaching it usually feels less like a finish line than expected. The urges are fewer, the routines are yours, and the question of what happens next is now genuinely open.
What goes wrong on day 30
Treating day 30 as permission. The single most common way a successful month ends is a 'check-in' on the day the count completes.
None of that is a prediction about you specifically. Day 30 looks different depending on how long you were together, who ended it, and how many times you've tried before — this is the shape it takes most often, and the part of it worth preparing for.
One thing to do today
Choose deliberately: extend the line, or move from no contact to a life that simply doesn't include them. Both are real answers. What isn't a real answer is letting the number expire and finding out what happens.
A slip costs a day. The spiral after it — "I've ruined it, why bother" — is what costs the month. If today didn't go the way this page describes, that's information about which door is still open, not a verdict on whether you can do this.
