No contact day 11: the fatigue
Day 11 is often when the effort itself gets tiring. Not any single urge — the accumulated cost of a hundred small refusals.
What goes wrong on day 11
Tired people take the cheap option, and the cheap option is a look, a reply, one exception.
None of that is a prediction about you specifically. Day 11 looks different depending on how long you were together, who ended it, and how many times you've tried before — this is the shape it takes most often, and the part of it worth preparing for.
One thing to do today
Reduce the number of decisions rather than trying to make them better. Every door you close is a decision you don't have to keep making, and this is the week that arithmetic starts to matter.
A slip costs a day. The spiral after it — "I've ruined it, why bother" — is what costs the month. If today didn't go the way this page describes, that's information about which door is still open, not a verdict on whether you can do this.
