No contact day 10: the double digits
Ten days. The urges are usually less constant now and more concentrated: fewer of them, but arriving at recognisable times.
What goes wrong on day 10
Concentration reads as improvement — which it is — and improvement reads as permission. Most people's first slip after day 7 comes from feeling better, not worse.
None of that is a prediction about you specifically. Day 10 looks different depending on how long you were together, who ended it, and how many times you've tried before — this is the shape it takes most often, and the part of it worth preparing for.
One thing to do today
Name your hour. Look back over ten days and identify when it actually gets hard. That single fact is more useful than everything else you've learnt this week, because an hour with a name can have a plan.
A slip costs a day. The spiral after it — "I've ruined it, why bother" — is what costs the month. If today didn't go the way this page describes, that's information about which door is still open, not a verdict on whether you can do this.
